Škoda Octavia: the brand’s first Full Hybrid arrives

Škoda Octavia expands its range with an important new feature: it is the brand’s first model to introduce a Full Hybrid system. The new powertrain is available for both the sedan version and the Octavia Wagon, with two power outputs and a system that does not require charging via plug.

The new Full Hybrid system

The new powertrain combines a 1.5 TSI evo2 petrol engine with two electric motors, a 1.6 kWh lithium-ion battery and a single-speed automatic transmission.

The system operates according to a series-parallel logic and automatically manages the switch between the different operating modes. In certain conditions, especially at low speeds, the Octavia can move using electric drive alone. The battery recharges while driving, thanks to the combustion engine and energy recovery during braking: there is therefore no need to connect the car to a socket or charging station.

Two power outputs: 136 or 170 hp

The new Octavia Full Hybrid is offered in two versions: 100 kW (136 hp) and 125 kW (170 hp).

The 136 hp variant pairs the electric system with the 96 kW 1.5 TSI, while the 170 hp version uses the same combustion engine in its 110 kW version. Both reach a top speed of 180 km/h.

Sedan or Wagon: space for every need

Full Hybrid technology also affects luggage compartment capacity, due to the presence of the battery under the rear seats.

The Octavia sedan offers 460 litres of capacity, increasing to 1,400 with the rear seats folded down. The Octavia Wagon, on the other hand, provides 485 litres, up to 1,540 litres with the seats folded.

Technology and equipment

The new Full Hybrid powertrain is available in the Selection and Sportline trims. Standard equipment also includes the 13" infotainment display, the 10" Virtual Cockpit and the HYBRID badge on the tailgate.

Orders for the new Škoda Octavia Full Hybrid have been open since October, while the first customer deliveries are scheduled from December 2026.
